Who We Are          We meet on the third Thursday of the month @ 11:00AM 

THE FRIENDS OF THE MERRIMAC PUBLIC LIBRARY

WHO ARE WE: The Friends are a non-profit organization made up of individuals from the community created to help focus attention on the library and stimulate public support for its activities and needs.

WHAT WE DO: Raise money that is used to help the library provide programming for children and adults, purchase museum passes, equipment and books and any other ammenities not covered by the library budget, 

We raise funds through our annual membership letter and used book sales which are held once or twice a year. We encourage tax-deductible gifts, matching company contributions, endowments and bequests.

All dues and donations are tax-deductible. 

Our informal meetings take place every other month in the library on the third Thursday of the month @11:00 AM. Everyone is welcome to attend. The Friends are a friendly, informal group where new members are always welcome.

WHY JOIN THE FRIENDS:

The Friends believe in the importance of libraries and the many benefits and resources they offer such as: weekly story hours and summer programs for children, adult book clubs, reference materials, programs, workshops for children and adults and special events, DVD’s, books on CD’s, access to computers and free internet, access to printing capabilities, copiers and faxes all for a nominal fee, access to e-books and audio books and much more, most of which are free and available to all.
